OMG! OPRAH! According to The Age, (Sat.18/9/10 P.7 news)
Melbournestyle's own Melbourne Scarves are the pefect gift for Oprah. And we agree of course.
And so we went to Dinner with Oprah's peeps:

More Oprah here...

"Here is much more than a store, it is a history lesson, a celebration of all that is uniquely Victorian (including Ned Kelly), somewhere to lose yourself and delight in the sheer creativity on offer (tasteful creativity, of course, in true Melbourne style). It makes souvenir places seem very tacky in comparison. On Clarendon Street South Melbourne, it's the first and only experience of its kind. A visit to Melbournestyle is a must do."
- Extract from RACV's 101 Best things to do in Victoria

"THIS MELBOURNE MECCA IS BANISHING THE CULTURAL CRINGE WITH ITS BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE INTERPRETATIONS OF AUSTRALIAN ICONOGRAPHY."

- HOME BEAUTIFUL magazine

"IF YOU LOVE THIS FABULOUS CITY OR ARE LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT SOUVENIR....."
- HOMESPUN magazine

"There are no flippant inclusions.Everything has a reason for being - a connection to Melbourne or Melbourne people who are doing something special."
- MELBOURNE LIVING Magazine, August 2009
Thanks to the fabulous people at Melbourne Living magazine for their tribute to our tribute to Melbourne.
"E' negozio e galleria questo spot avviato con successo dall'artista Maree Coote, specializzato esattamente nel Melbourne style: arte, moda e oggettistica, tutto disegnato e realizzato in citta."
- Review :Italia Blogosfere

Autumn/winter, Melbournestyle.
Seasons mean change, but at Melbournestyle, they mean luxurious silk scarves, glossy patent bags, chic leather cuffs and kickin' the leaves around.
Can you believe the colour? So much extra rain over so many months in Melbourne means loads of sugars have been stored in the plant's leaves, making incredible colours this year.
These 2 pics taken just around the corner from Melbournestyle.
Don't miss Rob Miller
...at 101 Collins Street. Six of Miller's works feature in the low glimmer of that incredible gold foyer. Signature silhouettes - economical and evocative - set with mechanical oddities and framing structures reminiscent of William Morris. The work is settled, calm, mysterious and lyrical. Don't miss out!

Dora Chapman
Just couldn't resist these fabulous Dora Chapman screen prints from 1969. Chapman and her husband James Cant were the 'it' couple of the art world back then.

They both painted landscape, portraits, folk art style abstracts, but the interesting thing is the way they blurred the lines between each others style, he painting in her style, she painting in his. Joined at the brush perhaps. Anyway, just love these prints, so calming and happy.

Take two.
So. We found you this fabulous collection of mirrors - so chic and exciting. Fab designs, functional, elegant, different, great prices. Well, they all sold out as soon as we put them in the window. So?...we got some more in for you. They won't be here forever, so be quick!

So it rains a bit in Melbourne...
... let's not forget the biggest wet of all, and our friends in Japan. It's been a long time between Sakis, but Melbournestyle owes much to Japan. We have been blessed by treasured Japanese friends, exquisite Japanese design, unforgettable Japanese travel, lifechanging Japanese insights, even our brand name is inspired by very special Japanese friends.
