![]() Jason Wu's FR Enigmatic wears Melbournestyle Buildings Scarf at Flinders Street Station. |
"Each is a gift with a sense of place, a sense of luxury, a sense of art and of course a sense of fashion." - Maree Coote The Melbourne Scarves are designed exclusively for Melbournestyle as original prints on silk. Designed by Maree Coote, they feature both Melbourne and more broadly Australian themes. Drawing inspiration from her study of Melbourne's history, she also references historic ephemera and collage works, esoteric imagery, totemic Australian fauna and flora and literary references ranging from historic biographies and geographic and natural history references. The designer has mixed several techniques, combining traditional processes such as painting, calligraphy and hand-drawing with digital techniques. Each 97x97cm scarf is limited in edition and exquisitely boxed in Melbournestyle's signature lime green box adorned with the flying tram. See the LAUNCH party |
